Stand with Chris
Chris’s Priorities
Chris is running for State Representative because we need leaders in Lansing who will stand up to corporate interest and fight for solutions to the issues facing our communities.
-
Chris firmly believes in the right to an abortion. As our State Representative, Chris will fight to expand access to abortion by working to repeal the 24-hour waiting period, repeal the Reagan-era ban on public funding, protect access to medication abortion and do whatever it takes to stop local, state, and federal Republicans from interfering with Michiganders’ rights.
-
As State Representative, Chris will always fight for the people of our district, not DTE. He’ll fight for Public Power, ban campaign contributions from monopoly utilities, and make DTE pay when our power goes out by expanding accountability laws on outage compensation. He’ll also fight to phase out coal and expand real clean energy, and he’ll work to pass polluter pay laws and stronger environmental standards to protect our right to clean air and water.
-
As State Representative, Chris will work tirelessly to secure state funding for an underpass at the Hilton/9 Mile train crossing that stops the traffic jams and keeps us moving. He’ll also fight to fund regional public transit and give us alternatives to sitting in traffic.
-
Chris believes that housing is a Human Right. As our State Representative, Chris will fight for good cause eviction, work to reimburse Detroiters for property tax overcharges, and pass a Tenant’s Bill of Rights.
-
Chris knows for our communities to thrive, we need to invest in our schools. That’s why as State Representative, he’ll fight for Pre-K for All, raises for all public school teachers and support staff, and investment in afterschool programs.

Chris believes that healthcare is a Human Right. That’s why as State Representative, he’ll advocate for MICare to guarantee healthcare for everyone in Michigan.
